I welcome one dog at a time at my place (occasionally 2), to stay with me and my foster dog. I have the ability to separate dogs when needed. Boarding one dog at a time allows me to focus & personalize your dog’s needs. Your dog will get mental & physical enrichment, bathroom breaks, supervised time to hangout in the yard, neighborhood walks, feeding, and medication administration (if applicable). Pictures, videos, & updates upon request.
Candidates: Will be 50 lbs or under (sometimes exceptions can be made), Spayed or neutered, have the mobility to go up & down stairs (unless small enough I can carry), be limited barkers, can stay alone comfortably for 3-5 hours (unless we have arranged for absence-free time). A paid trial stay is in order before committing to your dates of being out of town, so, I can observe your dog in my environment & determine if we all are a good fit. Occasionally, I will do in-your home pet sitting . Please inquire if you are interested in this option, to see if I can accommodate.

She is the very best and any family and dog would be so very lucky to work with her
It’s hard to put into words how much we value Samara and appreciate the depth of care, skill, and love she brings to her work. Samara has helped us raise our 8-year-old rescue pit bull, nurturing and caring for him since he was a puppy. We have complete and total confidence in her care for our dog, who is loving, high energy, and high needs. We are always amazed by how she manages him, his interactions with our children (Samara is their Tia!), and how she always guides him towards his very best, most regulated, most joyful self. She is professional, dependable, attentive to detail, has an expert level of knowledge about dogs, and is very very big hearted. We have all learned so much from her and are so grateful she is in our lives. In truth, she is fully a member of our family. She is the very best and any family and dog would be so very lucky to work with her.

She is exceptionally sensitive to his cues, and picks up on both physical and behavioral changes.
Samara has taken our dog on outings for five years and she is fantastic with him! Our dog is anxious and can be quite reactive, and she works with him beautifully. She is exceptionally sensitive to his cues, and picks up on both physical and behavioral changes. She shares this information, and asks us for information, to develop a thorough understanding of our dog. Samara lets our dog take the lead in what he feels comfortable doing, and always let’s us know how he did. She has developed a deep bond with our dog, and he is always happy and excited to see her. Samara also communicates clearly about her schedule, gives plenty of notice for days off or schedule changes, and is exceptionally reliable. I recommend her highly!

Samara has a very special gift in connecting with the dogs
Samara has been a blessing to our family! She has walked, watched (2 dogs/ 1 cat) and helped with training and support for our animal family. We are so lucky to have her as part of our village. Her thoughtful spirit is infused into all that she does. Samara has a very special gift in connecting with the dogs. Through this connection, she supports dog owners in growing an even deeper connection with their own pups through her guidance and teachings. Our family highly recommends Samara for dog walking, boarding, and training.

find the things you do like about her
I adopted a dog and still after many months I just wasn’t having the connection that I had hoped for. I did love her, but I didn’t like her very much, and I felt very conflicted and sad about it. I had lamented my situation to a variety of people and they all said that returning her to the rescue might be the best thing to do. When I told Samara however, she had a different response – she said “find the things you do like about her”. So I started to pay more attention to what I did like about her, and there were actually many things 🙂 So many things, I often found myself thinking how lucky I was to have her! It really helped to focus on the positive rather than the negative. I’ve known Samara over a decade and that’s absolutely the light she brings to every situation <3.
