I offer opportunities to satisfy your dog’s need for mental, physical and emotional stimulation.

Enrichment supports your dog’s existing training & behavior plan and works with your dog within their comfort zone.  Enrichment can be in the yard or home or sniff spot or out in the world, running and interacting with select dog friends. it can also be more subtle; connecting with me to learn a new trick, following a scent, chasing bubbles or walking around the neighborhood feeling confident and engaged. Every time I meet with your dog I assess them; meeting them where they are that day and choosing enrichment activities that best meet their needs.

Consistency is important for your dog and for my connection with your dog. All enrichment services are provided in a flat monthly rate subscription investment starting with a minimum of 2 days per week. Monthly subscription includes discounts on boarding and prioritized scheduling for other services.

SMALL GROUP ENRICHMENT ADVENTURES: 

Enrichment Adventures are  with 2-4 dogs that are comfortable with dogs and humans in and out of the car, and are 50 lbs or under.  Small groups allow more time to focus on each dog, they have more space while traveling to our destination. Led by me  a certified trainer, with  knowledge to interpret canine  body language, this helps me navigate with my  group  & how we move in the world. Desired  behaviors  will get reinforced and undesirable behaviors will be managed without the  use of punishment. We will head to some dog friendly off leash  places. We spend time moving our bodies, engaging in scent games, playing, doing some doggy parkour, practicing skills such as, recall, touch, check-ins & trail etiquette. The adventure time is an  hour, however we may be gone for 1.5-3 hours for pickup, drop off, and travel time.  Current Rabies or titer test result  and some form of flea  prevention required.

PRIVATE ENRICHMENT VISITS/WALKS:

There are many dogs who can get more benefit from private visits than from Group outings. These visits are customizable and flexible, giving your dog what is best for them each time we meet. Any dog can benefit from one on one time. Some dogs are more relaxed and tired after using their whole being to solve problems or practice something you are working on. All the variables at the park can leave them more amped up than worn out. For some it may be an engaged neighborhood walk with someone who can interpret the dog’s signals and provide a familiar routine that safely supports them through movement, smells, sounds and connection. It can be a massage for a senior dog providing connection and easing pain or a safe consistent presence for a fearful dog through scents and licky mats or other no contact activities

Consider selecting this option if your dog prefers people, or is nervous around other dogs, strangers, new environments or unexpected things. Perhaps your dog has a visual or auditory impairment, is recovering from an injury or surgery, or is just less mobile than they once were. If your dog is new to you or your life one on one time can really help them build a solid foundation and feel settled in before encountering the randomness outside the home. Your dog may have struggled in a social group or daycare setting. Consider being open to trying  One on One time as the best way to reset and re-evaluate before trying groups again. As the human you may simply feel more comfortable knowing that a skilled behavior professional is providing your dog with a safe and satisfying service. One on One enrichment visits are as unique and variable as the dogs and families I work with. 

If you’d like your dog to engage on a small road trip to an activity destination, a surcharge fee per outing covers gas, wear and tear on my vehicle and time to get to the destination.
